Hilary Stauffer joined the SMS team in 2009 as a Sales Professional. Hilary has had a long career in the hospitality industry which began when working for the Ritz Carlton hotel company in Marina del Rey in 2001. Hilary has extensive experience in hotel sales, catering, conference services, hotel concierge, and leadership in food and beverage management. Her experiences within the service industry have influenced her to be very hands-on and detail-oriented while understanding what it takes to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
Joanne Facciolo serves as President and CEO of Strategic Meeting Solutions, Inc. A self-motivated entrepreneur, Joanne offers years of experience within the Pharma, hospitality and entertainment industries. Her expertise in meeting orchestration and food & beverage management was developed within The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, the benchmark for excellence within the luxury market. During her tenure, Joanne was responsible for implementing and maintaining the highest level of standards required to achieve the widely acclaimed Malcolm Baldridge Award for Quality. Her extensive knowledge of the International and Domestic luxury hotel markets affords SMS a distinct advantage when it comes to understanding the needs and expectations of its clients. Joanne has traveled abroad extensively where she is responsible for many high profile, executive programs. Joanne’s considerable talents provide SMS with the professional orientation to anticipate and exceed all your meeting needs, ensuring a highly successful program. A native of New York, her passion and infectious enthusiasm is the foundation of Strategic Meeting Solutions' spirit.
Rebecca Marcione is the Production and Project Coordinator at Strategic Meeting Solutions working closely with all SMS project managers. Her role touches nearly every aspect of the global team. Rebecca works closely with each of the project managers on the event logistics, monitoring timelines and overall project implementation. Rebecca's focus is on special projects and print and production for each of the meetings.
Jennifer Leathers joined SMS in 2005 as a Meeting Planner. She later transitioned to Sourcing Manager and after mastering all aspects of meeting management, she became a Project Manager. She participated in clinical studies prior to SMS so she has a history of attending investigator meetings and joined SMS with a vast knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry. Jennifer has a wide range of experience, including sourcing, planning, and on site management. She sees meetings from start to finish. She has developed wonderful relationships with hoteliers and believes in working together to create the best meeting experience for the client and attendees. Our clients appreciate her dedication and attention to detail as well as her commitment to each and every meeting she touches. Jennifer has nearly 10 years of experience in meeting management, domestic and international, and 5 years of clinical studies.
Quinn Butterfield is the Office Manager at Strategic Meeting Solutions. Quinn oversees the day to day operations including scheduling, participant recruitment, and assisting the project managers. Quinn's other responsibilities focus on website design and content management as well as the integration of social media.
Leslie Hair is Strategic Meeting Solutions's Global Marketing Manager. With 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry she is a great asset to the SMS team. She is responsible for the development and implementation of SMS's meeting event design and management. Leslie's role has evolved and changed to encompass a wide variety of responsibilities including marketing deliverables and program development. She is best known for her people and organizational skills and serves SMS in the areas of vendor relations and production of event communications.
Maggie Rose is a veteran of the hospitality industry with more than 10 years of experience. She specializes in meeting planning, operations, and execution as a Project Manager. She has spent several years on the road working large programs specializing in all areas of onsite meeting management. Maggie understands how all the details fit together, to create a flawless and remarkable event for the clients. She brings a comprehensive set of skills and experiences that are needed to manage events from 10 - 2,000 (locally and globally). Maggie assists with on-site productions, web based registration, entertainment options, venue research, transportation management, and team building activities. Maggie always goes out of her way to make every event an amazing experience for the guests and staff.
With 15 years of meeting planning experience, Elizabeth Aiken joins the SMS team with great excitement. As a graduate of the University of Georgia, she began her career in Atlanta as an outsourced meeting planner for Amgen Pharmaceuticals. Elizabeth became a project manager for one of the largest medical education companies in the US where she lead her team in organizing meetings for thousands of participants in the US and internationally. Her strengths are in communicating with all levels of professionals, maintaining a steadiness in the midst of discord and time management all while maintaining a standard of professionalism that SMS expects from all their employees.
